those working with a pro or college team, the job also forces them
to work evenings and weekends. That means taking time away
from families and personal interests. Bob Howard of UConn says
an athletic trainer needs an understanding family that realizes
what he does is not just a job, but a lifestyle. Being a bit of a
workaholic
is good for the trainer, though it can be hard on a
spouse and children.
