Rural migration

Regional variations in 2005/06 show

that the Northern region had the

highest proportion of individuals

migrating with 36 per cent as compared

to the other regions, the major reason

being insecurity. However, with the

prevailing peace this trend is likely

to change. Other reasons cited for

migration is drought, eviction and

disease.
