What we do
• The Tank Storage Association (TSA) represents the interests of twenty member companies
engaged in the storage of bulk liquids.
• Our members have over 8 million cubic metres of storage capacity.
• Over 60% of the products stored and distributed are refined petroleum, but our members also
store many other substances, including a wide variety of chemicals, molasses, fats & oils, ethanol,
glycerine and many more.
• Our role is to inform members of proposed legislation and related developments, and to help form
and advocate the industry's position.
– We aim to champion the needs of our members in safety, health, environmental and
technical matters. We also work closely with the UK Government to ensure that our
members needs and concerns are recognised with regard to new and emerging legislation
which may have an impact.
• We are an authoritative source of information and reference for the tank storage industry.
