Assessment Only Route to QTS
The Assessment Only (AO) Route
to QTS enables unqualified
teachers with a degree and
significant teaching experience to
demonstrate that they are meeting
all of the Teachers’ Standards
within their current school without
the need for any further training.
The 13 week programme of assessment
results in the award of Qualified Teacher
Status (QTS).
NLT is offering the AO Route to QTS in
partnership with Two Mile Ash ITTP, a DfE
accredited provider. Our AO Route to QTS
is available to teachers in all phases of
maintained schools, academies, independent
schools and British schools overseas.
The AO Route with NLT is followed by a
term of fast-tracked NQT induction (without
additional charge) as we are an approved
appropriate body. Eligible unqualified
teachers within your school will therefore
become fully qualified in no more than 2
terms. This makes the NLT combined offer
of Assessment Only Route plus NQT induction
unique as we are the only national provider
to include NQT induction within our
QTS programme.
