1 CREDIT
The Grade 9 Health and Physical Education curriculum covers everything from invasion territory games,
fitness centre training and net/wall activities, to fun and games in the pool and three health units
(conflict resolution, substance use and abuse and sexuality). You will get a taste of all the different
types of physical activities that you can take in Grade 10 and onward. Throughout the year, you can
test your skills at different sports and challenge yourself to overcome obstacles, such as climbing on
the indoor rock wall. The class ends up being a small family as you train side by side for the triathlon
(swimming, rowing and running) and cheer each other on as you cross the finish line. This class gives
you the opportunity to push yourself and your athletic abilities and to learn about your health while still
having a blast!
