- T2W images are useful to detect prostate cancer in the peripheral zones,
as an area of low signal intensity (black).
Noteworthy low signal could be:
-
,
- chronic prostatitis,
- atrophy,
- scars,
- post-radiation therapy fibrosis
- changes after ADT
- Difficulties in identify a tumor in the
transitional zone….because there is a lot of low signal….
