Irish Solicitors' Golfing Society.

The annual competition was held at

Dollymount on the 26th May. Over fifty

members competed for the Challenge Cup,

the result being: Gerald A. G. Byrne

16,

76, winner; Henry G. Morris,

89, 12, 77, runner-up.

The prize for the best gross score was won

by Desmond J. ColJins, 82.

In the afternoon Foursome Sweepstakes

were played ;

Messrs. Charles O'Brien and

John W. T. Callan being first, and Messrs.

R. G. Warren and Basil Thompson tieing

with Messrs. Bartholomew Collins and M. A.

Smyth for second.

In the evening the annual general meeting

of the Society was held, Mr. A. H. S. Orpen,

President of the Incorporated Law Society

ot Ireland in the chair. The following were

elected officers for the ensuing year :

PRESIDENT. The President of the Incor–

porated Law Society of Ireland.

CAPTAIN. Patrick J. Tallan.

HON. SECRETARY. Hugh Horan.

COMMITTEE. Messrs. James Moore, R. G.

Warren, Basil Thompson, J. T. Hamerton,

and Peter Scales.

Law Courts.

At the Law Courts, Dublin Castle, there is

a room for the use of members of the

Solicitors' profession next to Court No 6.

There is a room for the use of Solicitors'

assistants next to Court No. 5.

Intermediate Examination.

The Intermediate Examination will be held

in the Royal College of Surgeons, Saint

Stephen's Green, on Thursday, 2nd July, at

10 o'clock, a.m.

Candidates

should

lodge

notice

of

intention to attend the Examination in the

Secretary's Office, 33 Molesworth Street,

before 23rd June.
