A tower of coins

Mary hadmarked three circles on a piece of

paper and placed in one of them a R5 coin, a

R2 coin, a R1 coin and 10c piece , in that order

from top to bottom. "You see," she said, "that

each coin rests on a larger coin. The puzzle is

tomove all the coins fromwhere they are now

to the end circle, by moving one coin at a time

and never placing a coin on a smaller coin.

"That is easy", said Peter."What is the trick?"

"There isn't one," Mary replied. " All you have

to do is to take as fewmoves as possible."
