PSHE

The PSHE programme of study aims to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental

and physical development of students.

During PSHE lessons in KS4 students learn about Relationships, including topics on

healthy and non-healthy relationships and the differences in relationships.

Students also have specialist visitors in to deliver sessions on several sensitive

issues regarding mental health, stress and their triggers, alcohol and misuse of other

substances.

As part of the PSHE curriculum students are supported through work experience,

applying for college/apprenticeships and future careers. This includes careers

interviews during KS4 to support and develop their future choices.

As students start Year 11 PSHE has more of a focus on reflecting on their learning

within key subject areas. Students are been given the chance to develop their

revision and exam technique and making valuable use of extra advice and guidance

was given to students to support progress especially in core subjects, Maths, English

and Science.
