the new Mini-Roll pipe stand for
welders.
The Mini-Roll is a compact, one-piece
unit that is 18.4cm (7¼") high, with a
weight capacity of 1,580kg (3,500lb),

Based on Sumner’s Adjust-A-Roll
platform, the Mini-Roll utilises quick-
change roller housings, is adjustable
from either side, and has brake locks
on steel wheels for layout or fit-up work.
“The Mini-Roll was designed to provide
a more ergonomically sound platform
for large pipe welding,” stated national
sales manager Brendan Conway.
“The one-piece, compact design and
interchangeable quick-change roller
housings make the Mini-Roll both
simple and versatile for the large pipe
welder.”
Mini-Rolls
are
available as a
stand only, or with
any of six different
quick-change roller
housings: steel
wheels, stainless
steel wheels, ball
transfer

AASHTO approval for HP storm pipe
Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc (ADS)
has announced that its HP Storm pipe
meets the new requirements of AASHTO
M330 for use in culvert and storm sewer
pipe projects. This new specification
pertains specifically to HP Storm pipe,
12" to 60" dual and triple wall. Both
public and private specifying agencies
rely on the American Association of State
Highway and Transportation Officials
(AASHTO) for product specifications
such as pipe for use in transportation
infrastructure projects.
“AASHTO specifications represent the
culmination of extensive work by key
department of transportation officials
who make up AASHTO’s Subcommittee
on Materials,” stated Ryan Zenkewicz,
storm sewer market manager. “It
completes a strong foundation of
specifications and approvals that
include those from ASTM and the
US Army Corps of Engineers for this
premium product. This particular
specification highlights the need for
products in high performance storm
sewer applications.” HP Storm adds
to ADS’s line of product offerings for
storm water projects. The product offers
premium joint performance, enhanced
stiffness over traditional storm sewer
products, increased longitudinal beam
strength, and chemical, stress crack
and abrasion resistance.
The pipe is manufactured from impact-
modified copolymer polypropylene
resin. The HP Storm’s smooth interior
wall promotes flow rates while its
corrugated structure maximises
stiffness and strength. All HP Storm
pipe diameters feature an extended
integral bell and spigot joint with dual
gaskets and polymer reinforcement for
maximum joint integrity. The pipe is
available in 6m (20ft) and 3.9m (13ft) lay
lengths to accommodate various trench
box dimensions.
Founded in 1966, ADS serves the storm
and waste water industry through a
global network of 56 domestic and
international manufacturing plants and
more than 28 distribution centres. In
addition to its flagship N-12
®
pipe,
the company offers a complete line of
fittings and other accessories, including
StormTech
®
storm water chambers,
