Accomodation
The campus is situated in the
Royal Borough of Greenwich
in the southeast of London.
It is 14 kilometres from
the centre of London and
the local train station has direct
trains with the famous charing
cross (20-minute travel time).
It is an urban area with a lot of
open green space- parklands,
fields and woodlands with
modern sports facilities for
the public. There is a very
vibrant town centre with many
shops, pubs and restaurants.
Some great places to see
include the National Maritime
Museum, The Greenwich Royal
Observatory. The Cutty Sark
(the world’s famous tea ship)
and the Greenwich Pier from
where you can catch a boat
along the River Thames to
the Shard in Central London.
The PLUS centre is located at
Avery Hill campus, University
of Greenwich. The Campus
is a secure university setting
and there are two Victorian
buildings: Mansion Site and
Southwood Site. Both of these
buildings are in the 86-acre
Avery Hill Park in Eltham. They
have excellent teaching, living
and sporting facilities. The
classrooms, accommodation
and cafeteria are 5 minutes
walk away from each other.
The campus is about
20 minutes walk to Eltham
town centre and it is easy to
get there by public transport.
Near the campus there are
plenty of restaurants, cinemas,
a 28-lane bowling alley, and the
historic Eltham Palace.

Students are accommodated in
brick houses with three floors.The
accommodation is apartment
style with each group consisting
of 4-6 rooms, a common room
and a kitchen. Surrounding the
accommodation blocks are
beautiful gardens with connecting
cemented pathways.
