The borough of Rutherford
is located in Bergen County,
New Jersey, USA. Even though
it is sometimes referred to
as the “Borough of Trees,”
Rutherford is an inner-ring
suburb of New York City.With
access to the New York Port
Authority via multiple bus
routes and New York’s Penn
Station via the Rutherford
Train Station, New York is as
close as a 20-minute ride.
Rutherford is an urban area
with sprawling townhouses, a
main street filled with shops
and restaurants, and public
parks with sports pitches.
Rutherford is also home to a
handful of locations on the
National Register of Historic
Places, including the Iviswold
Castle which is situated on the
Campus of Felician College.
The Plus Center is located on
Felician College’s Rutherford
Campus. The campus is
contained within residential
streets and is comprised mostly
of red brick style buildings. All
classrooms are technology
enabled and within two
minutes walk to the refectory
and accommodations. The
town center is a 15 minutes
walk and there is easy access to
the train and bus systems into
New York City. The bus stop is
just in front of the University
and will take you to Manhattan
in just 20 minutes .Within the
town center there are shops,
restaurants, and a theater.
Rutherford Memorial Park is
also just a 20 minutes walk and
houses baseball, basketball,
tennis and football pitches.
