2.2.1 Monthly Comparison of Paid Claims
Figures 2.2.2 and 2.2.3 track monthly claim paid amounts for claims incurred during the period April 2014 through
December 2015 and paid during the period April 2014 through March 2016. Seasonality in claims paid (in terms of
date incurred) is expected, with the highest monthly claims generally occurring in the winter. Claim volumes may
also rise just before or after installation of a new health plan. Claims are presented both as total and PMPM
calculations.
