Cheltenham Induction Heating, an
Ambrell company, has launched a
new accessory for the Ekoheat line of
induction heating systems. The portable
work head is used in both manufacturing
and service/repair facilities for brazing
or soldering of copper joints.
The unit accepts a tool-balancer or
a harness for easy positioning. Coil
position may be changed with simple
tools and the mounting rotates through
270° to meet various application
configurations. Heating occurs within
a 5m radius (optional up to 15m) via a
flexible cable that attaches at the power
supply. Operation is simplified with a
pistol-grip heat-on control that halts
heating if released.
The Ekoheat family of products is
manufactured at an ISO 9001:2008
certified Ambrell facility. This portable
accessory for the CE-marked Ekoheat
system is shielded and tested for ICNIRP
conformance. Ambrell also provides
system solutions with full-scale output
power from 1kW to 500kW across a
wide range of output frequencies.

such as air-conditioning,
refrigeration, heat exchangers,

In addition to standard products,
Multimetals manufactures other
copper-based alloy semis, to customer

The alloys include aluminium bronze,
manganese bronze, naval brass, 90/10
copper nickel, 70/30 copper nickel,
forging brass, tellurium copper and
nickel silver, in the form of hollows,
sections, profiles, rods and wires. These
alloys provide a combination of strength,
anti-corrosion properties and oxidation
resistance.
The company also manufactures copper
nickel tubes in LWC form, and has an
in-house facility to make U-bend tubes,
low finned tubes and surface enhanced
finned tubes.
