Summary of Method:
Samples are hydrolyzed in 6M HCL for 24 Hours at 110C, neutralized and then derivatized with 6-
aminoquinolyl-N-hydroxysuccinimidyl. The derivatized sample is then analyzed by UHPLC-UV at 260 nm.
Method Scope/Applicability:
The method is capable of determining all SMPR required amino acids except for tryptophan.
General comments about the method:
The method has become a commonly used one in the industry and is utilized in multiple laboratories
around the world, however, method requires specialized equipment and supplies from a single vendor.
We have rejected good methods in the past that require specialized equipment.
