Stereotactic radiosurgery of pig spinal cord:
re-irradiation after one year
These results confirm the large capacity of the
spinal cord to recover from subclinical damage
(shown in rats and primates), and offers
excellent opportunities for radiation retreatment
of tumors close to or compressing the cord.
