General Session
Featuring:
Hall of Fame Quarterback & Guest Speaker
Jim Kelly
Jim Kelly is widely viewed as one of the greatest quarterbacks of his generation.
He played in the NFL for 11 seasons, spending the entirety of his career with
the Buffalo Bills. During his career, he helped guide the Buffalo Bills to a record
four consecutive Super Bowls between 1991 and 1994. He was inducted into
the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002, his first year of eligibility. Kelly has
also made his mark off-the-field. To honor his son Hunter, who suffered from
Krabbe Disease and passed away in 2005, Kelly established a non-profit organization in 1997
called Hunter’s Hope. In 2013, Kelly announced that he had been diagnosed with squamous cell
carcinoma, a form of cancer. Kelly’s courage and willingness to fight his illness in the public-eye
served as an inspiration to millions.
