Twenty-three Members present.
Courts of Justice Act.
The Council re-elected Mr. W. Gordon
Bradley and Mr. John J. Horgan members
of the Circuit Courts Rules Committee under
the Courts of Justice Act, 1924.
Business Names.
A report from the Privileges Committee
was considered, and the following resolution
was passed, and a copy was directed to be
sent to the Executive Council:—
" The Council of the Incorporated Law
Society
of
Ireland
disapprove
of
a
Solicitor who is appointed to a whole-time
office under the Government permitting
his name to be used in connection with
the carrying on of his practice subsequent
to such appointment and during his tenure
thereof, in such a way as to lead the
public to believe that he continues to be
interested in such practice."

The late Mr. Concanon.
The Council passed a resolution expressing
deep regret at the death of Mr. Henry J.
Concanon, Provincial Delegate for Connaught
on
the Council, and conveying
to Mrs.
Concanon their sympathy in her bereavement.
District Court Practice.
The rules in reference to Tender in the
District Court were referred to the District
Courts Committee
of
the Council
for
consideration.
OBITUARY.
MR. FRANCIS L. BROWNRIGG died upon the
9th February, 1930.
Mr. Brownrigg was admitted in Hilary
Sittings, 1884, and practised formerly in
partnership with
the
late Mr.
Samuel
Boxwell, under the style of Boxwell and
Brownrigg, at 5 Hume Street, Dublin, and
latterly at 39 Fleet Street, Dublin.
MR. HENRY J. CONCANON, Solicitor, died
upon the 14th February, 1930, at Dublin.
Mr. Concanon was admitted in Michaelmas
Sittings,
1880,
and practised at Tuam,
County Galway. He was District Probate
Registrar for the Counties of Roscommon
and Galway.
Mr. Concanon was Provincial Delegate for
Connaught on the Council of the Society
since 1916.

MR. THOMAS J. GOWAN, Solicitor, died
upon the llth February, 1930, at Christ-
church, New Zealand.
Mr. Gowan served his apprenticeship with
Mr.
Francis L. Crowley, Dublin:
was
admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1907, and
practised formerly at 3 Upper Sackville
Street, Dublin, and subsequently at Carrick-
macross, up to 1921, when he went abroad.
MR. MICHAEL P. NOLAN, Solicitor, died
upon the 26th February, 1930, at Youghal.
Mr. Nolan was admitted in Michaelmas
Sittings, 1892, and practised at Youghal.
