Subtotal resection followed by
adjuvant radiation had a
significantly improved
survival over surgery alone
(p=0.011)
• No difference when compared to
radiation alone (p=0.271)
• The survival curves for the
combined treatment separate with
follow up and suggest a benefit to
include surgery in the management
