Risk of Neurocognitive impairment after RT

The risk in patients treated for glioma is mainly related to

large volume (no WB better) (1)

The risk of dementia in long survivors after WBRT in

patients treated for brain metastases is strongly related to

fractionation (<3Gy better)

Rate of Neurocog sequelae is lower than 3% for partial

brain irradiation, while respecting dose constraints

Experiences on normal NSCs department avoidance also

with larger treatment volumes are promising (3)
