Global Energy Group’s South Quay extension at Nigg Energy
Park is due to be completed in February 2015. It will offer over
1,000 metres of available quayside – longer than any facility
in the area – for customers in the offshore oil and gas sector,
providing essential deepwater access, as well as supporting the
demand for large laydown areas and fabrication facilities for the
renewables industry. Further significant quayside developments
are planned for the near future.
This £40 million investment follows the £14 million plus already
invested in refurbishing and upgrading the site since Global
purchased the yard in 2011.
