Emily’s story has a happy ending. She was able to move beyond her
symptoms to feel better and to learn how to deal with others in per-

works, women no longer have to simply suffer through their PMS
symptoms each month. Today many different treatments exist; phy-
sicians, counselors, and support groups offer both help and encour-
agement. Women can learn to understand their monthly changes,
