In

its early days, the Bar used to draw a lot of young

sportsmen from what is said to be the richest and prettiest

town up-State. Among them was Craig Wadsworth, who

later took up' diplomacy, and who was in his day one of the

best types of thorough-going American sportsmen. The

cocktajl was named in compliment to him and his friends.
