B
uilt as a farm house in 1910 then
renovated in the 1960s, this Danish
house has been stripped back to show
off its simple lines and white, open
spaces. Both a home and a work space for
interior decorator Marianne Thuesen, architect
Jørgen Thuesen and their family, the rooms
are strewn with family artworks and enhanced
by their eclectic style and vibrant use of colour.
They’ve amped it up for Christmas with neon
touches in homemade decorations, coloured
paper and bright accessories, working the
colour wheel to full effect.

Personal artworks and photos add
a special touch. Right: the office includes an antique
desk, IKEA bookshelves and Marianne’s own painting.
