AOAC INTERNATIONAL
is a non-profit scientific
association dedicated to the development and validation of
analytical methods, improvement of quality assurance procedures
in laboratories, and the professional development of scientists. Since
its founding in 1884, AOAC has evolved from a group of scientists
within the U.S. federal government into an independent association
of over 3,000 analytical chemists, microbiologists, and other scientists
engaged in a wide range of positions in industry, government, and
academic laboratories around the world.
