This year’s whole school play, Bertolt
Brecht’s
The Caucasian Chalk Circle
is a
challenging and thought-provoking piece
of theatre. One of Brecht’s best-known
plays and an excellent example of his “epic
theatre”,
The Caucasian Chalk Circle,
is a
story told by a singer about a peasant girl
who rescues a noble child, becoming his
rightful mother. Our production will feature
original music and is directed by David
Aldred, Head of Academic Drama.
