LAW-104 Civil Procedure
Prof. Steven M. Eisenstat, Prof. Joseph W. Glannon, Prof. Linda Sandstrom Simard,
4 credits day; 4 credits evening.
Litigation of the modern unitary civil action. Jurisdiction of state and federal courts; law applied
in federal courts; pleading, pretrial motions, and discovery; trial by jury and evidentiary law; the
binding effects of adjudications. Civil Procedure is offered as a one-semester course in the day
division; offered as Civil Procedure I (2 credits) in the fall and Civil Procedure II (2 credits) in
the spring semester for evening students.
