A FEW
LONG COLD DRINKS
GIN SLING—sherry glass of Gin in a tumblerj fill up
with Lemonade and plenty ofice. Add a piece ofcucum
ber.
WHISKY FIZZ—^A sherry glass of Whisky in a tumbler, a
teaspoonM of powdered sugar and Lime Juice to taste.
Fill up with Soda Water and ice.
RUM HIGHBALL—Two or three lumps ofice in a tumbler,
h^a sherry glass ofRum,fill up with Ginger Ale. Add a
slice of Lemon.
RUM COW—^A sherry glass of Rum in a tumbler. Fill up
with milk.
MINT JULEP—Half fill a tumbler with crushed ice and
add one teaspoonful of castor sugar. Place a few sprigs of
fresh mint in the glass and add a sherry glass of Old
Jamaica Rum. Stir well and fill up with crushed ice.
Add slices oforange,lemon,pineapple and cherries on top.
ICED LAGER—Open the bottle and pour carefully.

HOT PUNCH
i pint Rum
A large Lemon
J pint Brandy
J Teaspoonful Nutmeg
5 lb. Sugar
i pint of Roiling Water
Rub sugar over lemon until it has absorbed all yellow 'skin.
Then put sugar in punch bowl, add Ibmon juice and mix
Me two well. Pour over them boiling water—stir well. Add
Rum,Brandy and Nutmeg. Be sure and mix all ingredients
well.
HOT SPICED RUM
Put into a tumbler 2 or 3 teaspoonfuls of sugar and dissolve
in a little boiling water. Add:—
I gill ofRum
I teaspoonful of Spices
I piece of Butter as large as a (Cinnamon,Cloves)
small walnut
Fill glass with boiling water. Stir well before serving.
