Integration of state-of-the-ar t technology
into an existing tube production plant
THE increasing requirements of the
market have forced tube manufacturing
companies to react more rapidly and
flexibly. In order to achieve higher
product quality, capital investment in
modern technologies is often required
but this can be difficult and expensive.
In many cases this is related to the
fact that completely new equipment is
required by the tube manufacturer.
Sometimes it would instead be
sufficient to replace the most important
components within a line in order to
fulfil the increased requirements, while
existing appropriate transportation
or handling equipment can still be
used with the newer state-of-the-art
machines. Bültmann takes advantage
of this approach and offers the custom-
fit integration of new, modern machines
into existing lines.
These are individually engineered and
tailored to the customer’s requirements,
resulting in the implementation and
commissioning of new machinery that is
interlinked with the existing equipment.
As an example this exact process
recently took place during the supply
of a ten-roll tube straightening machine
to one of the largest steel tube
manufacturers in Germany.
