Tail
Hamsters have a very short tail which they use to help
them balance when they are climbing or standing up
on their back legs.
Body
The body is compact and pear shaped, with
strong muscles on the hips and shoulders.
Coat
The coat may be short or long.
It may be a single color,
mixture or have special
markings depend-
ing on the type of
hamster. There is
even a hairless
variety!
