The final leg of the tour took in Botallack and the cliff top mines visited by

Queen Victoria and the late Queen Mother and current Queen Elizabeth

which was made short by the onset of heavy rain.

Branch Chairman, Colin Gameson, himself a serving Police Officer stationed

in Bodmin, said, ‘The books we presented to Ross and Cheryl are about

Cornwall and its history and strange place names and words and we hope

that when their travels are over, they will find time to sit and read them

and to enjoy the memories of their stay here.

Our IPA motto and ethos ‘Servo Per Amikeco’ is very much in our minds

here in Cornwall.’
