The final leg of the tour took in Botallack and the cliff top mines visited by
Queen Victoria and the late Queen Mother and current Queen Elizabeth
which was made short by the onset of heavy rain.
Branch Chairman, Colin Gameson, himself a serving Police Officer stationed
in Bodmin, said, ‘The books we presented to Ross and Cheryl are about
Cornwall and its history and strange place names and words and we hope
that when their travels are over, they will find time to sit and read them
and to enjoy the memories of their stay here.
Our IPA motto and ethos ‘Servo Per Amikeco’ is very much in our minds
here in Cornwall.’
