The International Tube Association (ITA)

is the world’s largest association of tube

and pipe engineers, and its presence will

be geared towards offering assistance to

tube and pipe professionals. An emphasis

will be placed on the membership benefits

available, including support services at

the major tube shows worldwide and the

educational opportunities provided through

technical conferences and seminars.

Existing members can ensure they are

taking full advantage of the enhanced range

of membership benefits. Non-members

will be able to learn all about what the

Association can do for them. They can

collect details of the ITA benefits including

J&S Machine will present the CR138-RIMW,

one of the newest machines in the Tre C

product line at Fabtech 2008. The CR138

is a PC-based CNC tube-pipe, angle, and

section roll bender.

The control (CNW333) used in the new

machine is currently the most advanced

version of the company’s numerical

controls. Consisting of an industrial

computer with Windows XP operating

system displayed on a 17″ colour monitor,

it manages the programming of up to 36

different radii on a single part.

It also automatically controls over 100

roller rotation speeds, performing small

bending radii and complex geometry such

as ellipses, polygons and bending by

points.

With over 500 automatic positioning speeds

moving both lower rollers, the machine

guarantees high precision in the transitions

between straights and bends or between

one radius and another.

Simple programming is facilitated by default

setup templates for the various geometries.

It is managed by keying in the radii of the

required bends. Files can be imported

directly into the control using a DXF file

format utilizing the USB interface or network

connections for interfacing with other PCs

for the data exchange.

The operator can quickly setup and perform

the required work processes by using

automatic encoder positioning, photo-eye

start detection and the bending archives

creation. Other Tre C machine versions will

also be displayed.
