Fullstage Technologies GmbH, Germany, has
entered into a partnership with Katazen Taifu,
a Japanese chemical company, to launch
Katazen’s products in Europe and the US.
Founded in 1982, Katazen has developed
a unique, high-strength, speciality adhesive
for PA-6 plastics that attains a rigidity of up
to 94 per cent. Patents for the adhesive
have already been awarded in both the US
and Japan. Patent applications are also
pending with the European patent office.
In 2007 Katazen was one of 10 companies
awarded a coveted innovation prize for
its products. Since 2007 the Japanese
automotive industry has used Katazen’s
adhesive to install sunroof components
during production.
This exciting adhesive product also has
other applications. For instance, when
manufacturing synthetic intake manifolds,
use of the adhesive simplifies production
and reduces costs by eliminating the need
for laser welding.
To help with its European and US market
launch, Fullstage Technologies is looking for
an additional partner who can manufacture
and/or distribute this speciality adhesive
through an exclusive licensing agreement.
Fullstage Technologies is well-known for
its range of CNC tube bending and end-
forming machinery. The company has sister
companies in China, Japan and the USA.
