for opening pressures
less than 0.5 bar
The AV619 safety relief valve from Witt Gas
Techniques Ltd, UK, is a new spring loaded,
direct acting safety relief valve for venting
excess gas pressure from receivers,
pipelines and other equipment used in the
chemical and oil processing industries.
Supplied with a TÜV pressure-setting
certificate, this new safety valve provides
a sensitive opening pressure from 5 mbar
up to 500 mbar. A high relieving capacity
is also possible due to the large cross
section of the valve opening. It is also able
to work in a temperature range of -40°C to
approximately +300°C.
This new safety relief valve, which can
be used with all technical gases, is an
addition to the existing range of relief
valves available from Witt Gas Techniques.
It is available in either brass or stainless
steel and has a range of inlet and outlet
connections to suit. An adaptor is also
available for connection to a ventilation
pipe.
Depending on the connection, the flow
capacity can range from 2.6m
3
/hr to 90.7m
3
/
hr, whilst the setting pressure p
e
ranges
from 5-500 mbar.
The valve seat seal material is dependent
on the gas being used and specified at the
point of order. These valves are compact in
size for easy installation and every valve is
100 per cent tested by Witt Gas Techniques
before leaving the factory.

hydroformed components
Salzgitter Hydroforming (SZHF) is a specialist in the series production and development
of hydroformed components. This unique technology enables the production of
sophisticated
com-
ponents. The main
advantages are the
low weight, high rigidity
of the parts and the
possibility to avoid
joining operations. All
of these properties con-
tribute to a cost-effective
lightweight construction.
The company uses
the
most
modern
production equipment
and one of the largest
machine facilities in this
industry sector to manu-
facture
components
for exhaust systems, chassis and car body
as well as for heat technology. In addition to
hydroforming, which is the core competence,
SZHF offers all major auxiliary processes
such as preforming, bending, heat treatment
and laser cutting in-house. This guarantees
a short response time and the best quality
under one roof.
The development team has a comprehensive
know-how regarding the accomplishment
of sophisticated and multiple step forming
processes with a variety of different materials
such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium and
special materials.
Salzgitter Hydroforming will exhibit at Euroblech 2008 on stand 16F06.
