Radiation therapy as primary treatment
In most clinical situations that require RT as primary
modality, the GTV should be readily visualized during
treatment preparation
The CTV should be more generous in this clinical situation
and encompass lymph nodes in the vicinity that, although
of normal size, might contain microscopic disease that will
not be treated when no chemotherapy is given
