Representative of the Northern Law Society

on the Council of the Incorporated Law

Society of Ireland for the past eight years,

and was President of the Northern Law

Society during the years 1915-17.

MR. JOHN M. Ross TODD, Solicitor, died

upon the 19th January, 1922, at his residence,

49 North Great George's Street, Dublin.

Mr. Todd served his apprenticeship with

his father, the late Mr. Robert Ross Todd,

10 Suffolk Street, Dublin, and practised at

7 Dawson Street, Dublin, in partnership with

Mr. Thomas Toye, under the style of Messrs.

J. M. Ross Todd & Co.

Commissioner to Administer Oaths.

The Lord Chief Justice has appointed the

following to be a Commissioner to administer

Oaths :—

Southern Ireland Assizes.

The Spring Assizes Circuits for Southern

Ireland will not go out in the month of

March.

Northern Ireland Assizes.

The Spring Assizes Circuit for Northern

Ireland will go out on 2nd March, 1922, and

Assizes will be held

for

the

following

Counties :—County of Antrim, at Belfast,

Thursday, March 2nd, at 12 noon ;

Down,

at Downpatrick, Friday, March 3rd, at 12

noon; Armagh, at Armagh, Thursday,

March 9th, at 1 o'clock; Fermanagh, at

Enniskillen, Monday, March 13th, at 11

o'clock; Tyrone, at Omagh, Wednesday,

March 15th, at 11 o'clock ; Londonderry, at

Derry, Monday, March 20th, at 11.30 ; City

of Londonderry, at Derry, Thursday, March

23rd, at 10.30 o'clock.

The Judges will be the Lord Chief Justice

of Northern Ireland, and Mr. Justice Wilson.

The Registrars

are Mr. A.

Indemnity Act, 1920.

The following -notice has been issued in

reference to claims under the above Act:—

WAR COMPENSATION COURT.

Notice is hereby given that under Section 2

(1) (ii) of the Indemnity Act, 1920, the War

Compensation Court will not be able to

entertain any claim which has not been

lodged on the form prescribed by the Court,

in original with the Department of State

responsible for the interference alleged and a

copy with the Court, by the 31st August,

1922, unless the transaction giving rise to

the claim takes place after the 31st August,

1921,

in which event the claim may be

lodged as above stated within one year from

the date of the transaction.
