Algebraic Reconstructions
Algebraic reconstructions are much more flexible, but significantly slower.
They approach the problem as a set of linear equations to be solved.
Where:

are the unknowns, i.e. the values of the image for each voxel

are the coefficients which are known and derived from system‘s
geometry. They indicate how much each voxel „falls“ into the path of that
specific projection

are the measured projections.
