2017-2021 FINANCIAL PLAN

Surrey is home to many large companies and organizations.

Current total employment in Surrey (December 2016) is estimated to be 181,640 jobs.

Figure 3 illustrates existing and projected total employment for the years 2012 through

2021. Over the last five years, 18,380 jobs have been added in Surrey, representing an

average annual growth rate of 2.16% which exceeds the rate of population growth of

1.75%, over this same period. Further employment growth of approximately 19,380 jobs

is projected for the five years between 2017 and 2021, for an estimated 201,020 jobs.
