Yahoo! in 2005, was created as a way to store and share online book-
marks with other people. It was a social networking approach to discov-
ering everything the web has to offer and sharing those discoveries with
both strangers and friends. AVOS purchased Delicious in 2011 and has
been running the website ever since, although the layout changed quite
a bit after the purchase was finalized.
AVOS Systems has acquired other companies, including Tap 11, which
has given businesses a way to analyze both social and numerical data.
Steve and Chad’s new company will likely continue to expand in the fu-
ture, although they may eventually start a whole new project. Only time
will tell!
