The latest LED-diodes combined with
high resolution CCD-lines create the
foundations of the measuring device.
With the help of powerful software, the
shadow width of the measuring object
is calculated and the outer diameter
precisely defined.
For the measurement of cables which
have a transparent insulation layer, the
LED 8025 XY provides optimum reliability.
The integration of state-of-the-art SMD
technology ensures the gauge head is
very small and can easily be installed into
any production line.
Forthcoming Mumbai Wire Exhibition Supported
by the IWMA
Wire & Cable India 2006 held in November in Mumbai was a very successful event,
supported by a number of important industry organisations and featured over
125 exhibitors of which 50% were international from 20 countries. The exhibition
covered a total area of 6,000m2and attracted 4,000 trade visitors.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will hold the second edition ofWire &Cable
India from20 – 22 November 2008, once again inMumbai. Supporting organisations
for the events are: Steel Wire Manufacturers Association of India (SWMAI), Telecom
CableManufacturers Association (TCMA) InternationalWire &Machinery Association
(IWMA) and Electrical Cable Development Association (ECDA).
Wire & Cable India 2008 is exclusively for materials, machinery and accessories for
the production of wires & cables, optical fibre cables, fasteners, springs, wire ropes
and other wire products. It will also include a showcase of finished products, which
will include wires, cables, fasteners, springs etc.
This event aims at providing an excellent platform to showcase the latest machinery,
equipment, raw materials & accessories required by the Indian wire and cable
manufacturing industry.
The IWMA is a major international sponsor of Wire & Cable India 2008 and will have
an information booth with support facilities at the exhibition managed by executive
board members John Stanaway and Peter Large as well as Ms Jeroo Vandrevala, who
represents the IWMA in India.

The LED 8025 XY is designed for
product diameters from 0.25 to
25 mm.
The gauge head is equipped
with vertically arranged glass
windows, whichoffer protection
against dirt. Additionally, the
LED 8025 XY is open at the
bottom, which prevents both
dirt and water contaminating
the measuring area.
The device is equipped with
an RS 485 serial interface and
RS 232 diagnostic interface for
directconnectionofalinecontrol
system or Sikora’s Remote 2000
or Ecocontrol 600, 1000 and 2000
control devices. Optional Ethernet RJ45,
Profibus interface or analogue outputs are
also available.
