Maintain a clearance rate for Part 1 violent crimes above the regional average of 44%
Maintain clearance rates for Part 1 property crimes at the regional average of 14%
Continue to conduct Active Shooter training based on revised county-wide protocol to the community
Conduct Cyberbullying/Internet Safety presentations at Barrett Elementary, Crossroads Christian School, Sobrato
High School and Martin Murphy Middle School
Conduct Run, Hide, Defend presentations at most MHUSD schools
Continue to recruit volunteers in crime prevention and graffiti abatement
Graffiti abatement within 72 hours of notification
Continue to complete 70% of detective investigation follow-up within 60 days of receiving case
Continue to follow up with all victims of cases that are assigned to the detective bureau within 24 hours and keep
them informed through all steps of the legal process
Continue physical fitness program for detectives
Identify and refer 30 at risk youth to CalGRIP services

Special Operations will continue to work toward completing action items included in the Strategic Plan

The Special Operations Division will work to conduct activities that are aligned with the priorities, goals and strategies
the City Council has set for FY15-16:
Supporting Youth
o
Deploy 1 SRO at Morgan Hill middle and high schools to address immediate safety concerns and issues on
campus. The SRO will also facilitate on-going communication between the District and Police Department
and coordinate Run, Hide Defend trainings
o
SRO will continue presentations on Cyberbullying/Internet Safety to parents and students
Preserving and Cultivating Public Trust
o
Continue to work with the School District to provide youth identified as at-risk for gang affiliation with the
opportunity to participate in productive and enriching sports and recreational programs as part of the Cal-
