Research Project
Just as a warmup to doing analytics yourself, try to build some new data
sets. Pretend you have an internship with your high school football
team. The coach wants an analysis of your team’s offensive strategy
from the previous season. Dig out the box scores of all the games and
make charts or graphs that show:
• in which quarters the team scores the most points;
• the ratio of run plays to pass plays on offense;
• the average number of yards per play gained per game.
