CHEERLEADERS
The

Cheerleaders strove to broaden their expertise t~ year
by
adding
more women
and
men who
performed
cholenglng

and
dance routines. Thew
support
of the football
and
basketball teams on road trips
and
at
home
helped raise school
spint at games. Furthermore. appearances on chamel 39's com–
merclals
and
the
"The
Himmel Show" which occl.lTed on Superbowt

brought much positive publicity to the university.
During football five women comprised the
squad. Under
coach Ro–

Borboa
and
moderator Kandy
Mink.
they mastered crowd con–
trol.

Just two weeks befae basketball season began.

squad
added
five more women
and
six men. As a result, Coach

was
able

they traveled to
San
Francisco
and
Los Angeles to
support
