SWIMMING
Coached by Gary Becker,
in
his 11th year
at USD. this years team increased it's size
with the great freshman turnout. The ten
new freshman were a great asset in
strengthening the team. High point Fresh–
man were. Mary Bergan. Colleen Cassity
and Kelly McCaffrey. Returning Varsity
swimmers were: Sophomores Eilleen Mur–
phy. Karen Danahy, Katie Gaudett and
Mary Beth Porter. Juniors: Shelley Otto.
Debbie Poltrot. Heidi Sro11y and the only Se–
nior and captain of the team Heather
Hockett comprised the team. The Varsity
girls traveled to LaSalle University in the fall
for the All Catholic Conference and in the
spring attended the league Champion–
ships in Las Vegas. The team had one of its
winningest seasons ever and looksgreat for
the future!
