SUMMER EDITION 2015

JB Hi-Fi

www.jbhifi.co.nz

Homefront: The Revolution

(2015)

When we heard that John Milius wrote the

story behind the first

Homefront

, we held

high hopes for the game. We were a little

disappointed. It's now over to Crytek to

pick up where Kaos Studios left off.

Mario Maker

(2015)

Ever thought that you could design a better

Mario game than you’ve actually played?

Doubtful, we know. However,

Mario Maker

gives you the tools – and the opportunity –

to at least try.

Splatoon

(2015)

When Nintendo decide to develop a

shooter, the charming

Splatoon

is the

result. The aim is simple: Cover the

opponent’s area in ink to win. Trust us, this

is a heap of fun to play.

Crackdown

(2015)

It’s not guaranteed to arrive this year, but

after watching the announcement trailer at

E3 last June, we sincerely hope it does. It’s

being developed by Cloudgine, a studio co-

founded by the original

Crackdown

creator,

David Jones.

Quantum Break

(2015)

Another Xbox One exclusive from the

studio that created

Max Payne

,

Quantum

Break

is a third-person shooter where

players can manipulate time. Could this be

the console’s killer app? We hope so.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

(2015)

Crystal Dynamics superb reboot of the

franchise two years ago has paved the way

for a second title heading to JB late this

year. Published by Microsoft, owners of

the Xbox One will get early access to the

game.

Star Fox Wii U

(2015)

It’s been nine years since we’ve seen a

Star Fox game, and with some quality titles

stacking up for Nintendo’s Wii U, there’s

never been a better time to bring it back.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

(2015)

After watching the 15 minutes of gameplay

released recently, there isn’t a game

coming next year that we are more excited

to play. Role on E3 2015, and our first

hands-on with it.

Halo 5: Guardians

(2015)

We’ve just had the next-gen taster from

The Master Chief Collection

, but now we

want to see what a fully developed from

the ground-up for Xbox One Halo title will

look like. And this is the year that we will

see it.

Yoshi’s Wooly World

(2015)

We played it at E3 last year and liked what

we saw. It’s been 18 years since Yoshi

featured on a console title, and is another

heritage franchise heading to the Wii U this

year.

Dead Island 2

(2015)

Following up the phenomenal success

of the first title,

Dead Island 2

is being

developed by Yager Development after

Techland passed on the project to work on

Dying Light

. This time around the action

heads to California.

Zelda Wii U

(2015)

Zelda on Wii U feels like it’s been coming

for an eternity. This has to be the most

anticipated title for the Wii U as we head

into the new year, and frankly, we can’t

wait!

Star Wars Battlefront

(2015)

What a year 2015 is shaping up to be for

Star Wars fans. Last year, DICE teased us

with a glimpse of what we can expect from

Star Wars Battlefront

, but it was enough to

trigger heart palpitations.

Look What’s

Coming

This Year

!
