These WCCHS students are the Illinois State
Champions in the Illinois Personal Finance
Challenge sponsored by Econ Illinois held at
the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago this
spring. This team went on to compete at
Nationals in Kansas City.

the circumference of his head
measured, so he can compare them
and create a proportion at Math
Night.
Bremen HS District 228
Bremen High School and
the graduating Class of
2015 is proud to announce
the recipient of the 2015
Teacher of the Year, Mr.
Michael Collins. Mr. Collins
has been teaching science
at Bremen High School for
14 years and is involved in
the classroom and in the
athletic department as the
head golf and wrestling
coach.
Deerfield
As their culminating achievement before moving to
middle school, the 5th grade Girl Scout troop at Kipling
Elementary School wanted to honor Deerfield Public
Schools District 109 and Deerfield history to achieve their
Bronze Award (the highest junior Girl Scout honor). They
built a replica of the Little Red Schoolhouse that sits in
our historic village on the District 109 District office
campus as a little free library where community members
can take a book, or leave a book for others. They held a
ribbon cutting for district officials, Deerfield Historical
Society members, and the community at the end of the
school year.
