Amends and extends the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979;
amends the penalties relating to offences under sections 48 and
49 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966.

Trade Marks Act, 1996 (16 March, 1996)
Implements Council Directive 89/104/EEC on trade marks;
makes provisions in connection with Council Regulation (EC)
No. 40/94 on the Community Trade Mark; gives effect to the
Madrid Protocol relating to the international registration of
Marks of 27th June, 1989, and to certain provisions of the
Paris Convention for the protection of Industrial Property of
20th March, 1883, as revised and amended; permits the
registration of trade marks in relation to services and effects
a general updating of the law on trade marks.
