at Memorial Peace Park for the second
annual ‘Celebrate the Night’ festival.
This free family festival transformed the
park and bandstand into a seasonal
wonder with lit trees, lanterns, Halloween
themed storytelling, pumpkins, crafts
and a very popular costume parade. This
year’s festival featured a special tribute
to ‘Diwali’ the incredible South Asian
‘Festival of Lights.’ This spectacular display
was a fitting end to a yearlong celebration
of Canada 150.
