local music talent. Even if you

Something For Kate frontman
and currently solo singer-
songwriter Paul Dempsey at
one of his JB Hi-Fi in-store
appearances, you can still grab
his phenomenal new album
Strange Loop (also on vinyl, as
you can see from his spot at
the top of the chart to your
100 kings The Rubens at
Margaret Court Arena in
Melbourne; DMA’s are touring
their excellent Hills End album
around the country (including at
Splendour in the Grass); and
Flume has announced shows to
support his album Skin, which
is out right now. My inside pick
for next month is Dua Lipa, the
young English singer-songwriter
who hasn’t yet released her
debut album but is getting a ton
of attention regardless. Look
out for her headline shows in
mid-July, but until then, as
always, keep your head in the

shortly be attending a listening
session in Sydney to hear

played a mix of old favourites
and new tracks during a set at
Bangalow (near Byron Bay), and
by all reports was outstanding.
