December 2017.
This year sees the fourth Iran Wire
exhibition, said to be the only exhibition
in Iran covering “the entire spectrum of
wires, cables, tubes, pipes, profiles and
related industries”. Messe Düsseldorf has
responsibility for international exhibitor
promotion and handling, exhibitor
registration, stand design and overall
operations.

Iran’s energy ministry has inaugurated a
55MW wind farm in the town of Takestan, in
Qazvin province. Qazvin has the capacity
to produce 4,000MW of combined wind
and solar electricity.
“Iranian MAPNA group of companies has
invested over $92 million for the project,
and the wind farm will be able to supply
15 percent of Iran’s electricity,” an Iranian
energy ministry official was quoted as
saying.
Iranian energy minister Hamid Chitchian
said that the new wind farm has 22 turbines,
and that his country has already approved
three billion dollars of foreign investments in
Iran’s renewable energy resources.
